A few words from Brittany Messner of Life Set Sail: How do you feel about amazing summer swimwear?
When it came to shooting with Honubelle, Justine and I knew we had to capture some of Julia’s beautiful pieces by the Bow. Calgary may not have much by the way of swimming, but the river running through it sure is beautiful.
Julia has recently launched her new summer line and I could not be more in love with the selection of cuts and patterns she’s chosen to feature. The Nitinat Top I’m wearing in these photos is originally a bra strap styled back, but when expressing my concern for support, Julia simply restrung the ties to cross giving me a little extra reassurance. Gotta love that versatility!
“I draw inspiration from the ocean, summer days, tanned skin, salty hair, and feeling alive. I get inspired when I’m on a beach, whether it’s at our prairie lakes or on Maui, or when I’m daydreaming of eternal summer.” – Julia Barnes
There have been a few times I’ve mentioned my passion for sharing local brands and businesses and when it came to Honubelle I just knew I had to feature it. If you are a fan of sporty yet sexy swimwear you are definitely going to want to check out their website. The fabrics are soft and durable and the cut and style of the pieces don’t just look good but are functional as well. For me, I am a huge fan of the cheeky bottom trend which gives your butt a little extra perk.
I’m curious to know, what’s your favourite style offered by Honubelle? My favourites are featured in this post, but I also really love the Tramontane top and the Keho bottoms! If you’re a BC resident, be sure to check out upcoming pop-up shops in your area!
