Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón, better known as Frida Kahlo has always been an inspiration to me. Frida, to me, was the epitome of a beautiful and “confident in all the right ways” kind of woman. Frida Kahlo was a “gem” in the truest and strongest sense of the word. Ever since I was a little girl I felt such a deep connection to her. Her eyes, her lips. I remember falling in love over and over again with her and her art. All those colours. All those colours and emotions she evoked. She was a revolutionary gal who liked to live in constant self expression, I believe this is most evident in her art, the way she dressed, and the way she carried herself. She basically never gave a damn what anyone thought of her. I have always wanted to pay tribute to this beautiful woman and I soon began dreaming of how I could bring all of those beautiful colors and emotions to life as wedding inspiration for those brides who were wanting a wedding that was both soft and powerful all at the same time.
