A few words from Kari, the owner of the fabulous Adorn Boutique in Inglewood, Calgary. We collaborated with some seriously talented Calgarians for this latest look book and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! This season at Adorn we’re seeing plunging necklines, low backs and a ton of pretty maxis and rompers! Our gorgeous models for this latest look book were all local Calgary bloggers and designers! We asked each of them to give us some insight into this season’s trends!

Adorn: What are some of your favourite pieces this season?
Brittany (@LifeSetSail): I’m really loving rompers, especially the cutout ones that tie at the front, like the Show Me Your Mumu ones at Adorn! I also am really loving strappy lace up sandals like brown leather sandals, and as always, oversized sunglasses!
Adorn: Are there any items you absolutely CANNOT live without this spring?
Ashley (@ashleylnesbitt): An item I can’t live without this spring is rompers, because you can dress them up for an evening out with heels, or dress them down for a casual day with a jean jacket. And, I’m really loving bangles with gemstones. I love that – they’re just so dainty and work with everything!
Adorn: If there was one thing you would suggest to buy this season, what would it be?
Lindsay (@elle.peters): I think it’s a great season to kind of have some fun with different graphic prints and patterns. Always balancing them with neutrals and more statement pieces. But, it’s a great year to experiment and be a bit more fun!
Adorn: What’s your favourite trend this spring? (ie. off the shoulder tops and dresses, fringe, bell bottoms, bodysuits, etc.)
Dayna (@withlovedayna): I definitely would say bodysuits! They’re really great for wearing with anything. A bodysuit in a neutral tone creates a really grown up approach to spring!
Adorn: What inspired you to start your own clothing company?
Evan (@whiskeyweekend): Well, I’m really into fashion and basic white tees is a major staple for me. I love the trend right now of bold sayings on tees. I could find similar products but could never find one with a quality tee and a nice blend. Liking a saying isn’t the same as wanting to wear it so I decided if I can’t find one, I’m just going to do it myself.
