A few words from Victoria: Tyler and I are high school sweet hearts that fell in love at a young age. We first met at our Grade Ten dance class where Tyler swept me off my feet. We never looked back and eight years later Tyler proposed at the top of the Calgary tower. We grew up together and couldn’t wait to grow old together. We wanted to have a classic and elegant wedding. We got married at St. Mary’s Cathedral surrounded by family and friends. My younger sister, my maid of honour, sang a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria at the ceremony. I walked down the aisle in a beautiful Mori Lee Gown. I wore my mom’s cathedral veil. My something blue were shoes I designed myself. Complete with my Grandmother’s brooches hidden under the dress and a Swarovski crystal necklace. We decided that during our wedding we wanted to have some time just the two of us so we rented a vintage 1952 Bentley to take us to Confederation Park for pictures. We wanted our reception to have a traditional and elegant feel and chose blue and gold colours to compliment the beauty of the Alberta Room at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel. Guest entered to the sounds of a string trio and they were welcomed with champagne. We added unique touches that made the wedding us. We had a guest book photo booth, every table number had a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tyler’s favourite author, love letters Tyler had written me at a young age and a tea table and scotch bar to commemorate our grandparents. After a delicious four course meal and touching speeches, we danced the night away. We are so thankful to all our family and friends and amazing vendors that made our wedding a true fairytale and the best day of our lives.
