Use Artificial Light With Natural Light
Sick of having harsh contrast in your indoor sessions where the light falls off and the shadows are SO dark?
Shooting film and just need MORE light indoor?
Don’t want to be a slave to only shooting where the windows are?
Busy toddlers never standing still in the good window light?
LEARN TO USE ARTIFICIAL LIGHT!!
I’ve made a bunch of videos (instagram reels) that explain what I use and how I use it!
The strobe light I use is the GODOX 400, its amazing! I love every single feature of it and I use it for every indoor shoot I do now! Digital or film, it just helps balance some of those extreme shadows and means I don’t have to do as much post processing and I don’t have to push my settings and risk lessening the quality of the image.
Below is a quick demo just with my son & husband and how I use the strobe & the shoot through umbrella-just to soften the shadows, you still want it to look natural and have natural highlight and shadows. The point is not to completely eliminate them, just to help soften them so its more flattering or enough to not use crazy settings!
